Detailed Eligibility – IRCON Vacancy:
Educational Qualification:
Manager/ Electrical:
- Full Time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with not less than 60% marks or equivalent grade from recognized University/ Institute approved by AICTE/UGC
- Minimum Five years of experience in Electrical construction, Procurement, Installation, Testing and commissioning in Railways, Metro Rail, Power Transmission/Distribution utilities
- Experience in Railway OHE /Power Supply/SCADA. E&M, Electrical utility Diversion shall be preferred.
Works Engineer/Electrical:
- Full Time Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering with not less than 60% marks from recognized University/ Institute approved by AICTE/UGC
- Minimum One-year experience in Electrical Construction works.
Site Supervisor/ Electrical:
- Full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering with not less than 60% marks from recognized University/ Institute approved by AICTE/UGC.
- Minimum One-year experience in Electrical Construction works.
Duration: The appointment will be initially for a period of one year subject to satisfactory performance of the selected candidate. The contract may be further extended after one year as per the requirements of the company, if the services of the candidates are found to be satisfactory

Selection Process of IRCON Vacancy:

If the applications received are more than 100, then the shortlisting criteria for the above mentioned posts will be done by giving weightages to various parameters as under:
Percentage of marks obtained in prescribed Educational Qualification (20% weightage):
- Above 75% – 20 marks
- Above 70% upto 75% – 15 marks
- Above 65% upto 70% – 10 marks
- 60% & above upto 65% – 5 marks
No. of years of post-qualification experience over and above the minimum experience required (80% weightage):
- Above 5 Yrs – 80 marks
- Above 4 yrs upto 5 yrs – 70 marks
- Above 3 yrs upto 4 yrs – 60 marks
- Above 2 yrs upto 3 yrs – 50 marks

Based on the above formula, the score will be derived for each candidate out of 100 and on the basis of these scores, the candidates will be shortlisted and called for interview in order of merit in the ratio of 1:15. In case suitable candidates are not found, candidates lower down the list will be called in the same ratio for each vacancy remaining to be filled.
